Rocks. I love how she doesn't give a * what anyone thinks.
You know tomorrow the fashion divas are going to flip their lids
and Joan Rivers is going to love being able to yap more than
the chihuahua down the hall about it.

She is totally Sick! Love it!

Hymn 365

Hymn #365

This is a hoot, but I suspect the minister didn't appreciate it.

A minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said,'If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.'
With even greater emphasis he said, 'And if I had
All the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.'
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he
Said, 'And if I had all the whiskey in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river..'
Sermon complete, he sat down.
The song leader stood very cautiously and announced
With a smile, nearly laughing, 'For our closing song,
Let us sing Hymn #365, 'Shall We Gather at the River.'

We are the World

Jones: 'World' remake will include 'three times' as many stars

By Edna Gundersen, USA TODAY

We Are the World, the 1985 all-star anthem that raised funds for famine victims in Africa, will be re-recorded Monday in Los Angeles with a fresh batch of artists.

"We'll have three times as many people as we did the first time," says Quincy Jones, who returns as producer. Plans were already underway to mark the song's 25th anniversary, but the Haiti earthquake created an urgency and vital purpose. Proceeds will benefit relief efforts there.

Helping those in need "is why we did it in the first place, so why not do it now?" says Jones, who predicts the new version will have as much reach and fundraising success as its predecessor. "I have confidence, always. I'm so excited."

Lionel Richie, who co-wrote the song with Michael Jackson, will coach singers at Henson Recording Studios (formerly A&M) in the same studio where the original was taped. Music director/composer Rickey Minor is on board, and the project will be filmed. Jones says no participating artists will be identified until Monday.

"I'm planning to be there," Smokey Robinson revealed Saturday. "It's a wonderful idea, not only because it's needed, but as a tribute to Michael Jackson."

The song, he said, "will hold up forever."

Alleged Victim of Rip Torn — Torn Himself

Rip Torn is so in need of help, even the CEO of the bank he allegedly broke into on Friday night wants to see someone stage an intervention.

Torn was arrested after cops found him drunk inside a bank in Connecticut with a loaded revolver.

Mark E. Macomber, President/CEO of Litchfield Bancorp in Connecticut, tells TMZ no one was in the building at the time Torn allegedly broke in -- and the only damage was to the smashed window cops say was Torn's point of entry.

Macomber says he didn't believe Torn was trying to hurt anyone or steal anything. Macomber spoke to authorities in Connecticut who told him Torn was found lying on the floor. He said cops believe Torn thought he was in his own house.

He called the incident a "serious matter," but seemed to think Torn needed help with his alcohol problem more than anything else.

Torn was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief. He is due in court on Monday.

Chronic Nightmares

Filed under: Uncategorized — TaylorLeigh @ 8:29 am
Just a brief background. I'm a dental student in MD. My drinking bothers my husband something fierce because he says he "doesn't like who I become when I drink" and he doesn't understand "why (I) can't just have one or two" That is mostly why it bothers me, too. I don't have much $ to go out with so all of my drinking is done at home and since it bothers him, I often wait until he goes to bed and as result, get little sleep most nights which is really impacting my clinic time the following AM so I have known a change needs to be made since I started seeing patients which is stressful and went $200,000 in debt, both of which contributed to a huge increase in my drinking starting a little over a year ago. My hands get shaky in the AM and I get pins and needles if I stop drinking for more than a day which doesn't give me the best tactile sensation when working in clinic.

Anyway, the point of this is to ask if anyone here experiences chronic nightmares? If I drink at night, I will make it until 4am before I wake up with my heart racing, sweating and shaking with terrible recollections of VERY disturbingly visual dreams of people I am close to dying, getting in horrific accidents, me accidentally killing them or me dying myself. If I stop drinking, I wake up periodically throughout the night which results in TERRIBLE SLEEP! I'm getting used to them, but they are VERY disturbing to me and keep me up. I'll usually remember about 10 per week but wake up unexplicably many more times with the same physical stuff. Sometimes I drink just to stave them off for awhile so I can get SOME sleep to be with it in clinic the next AM. Anyone else have chronic nightmares like that?

Going to do a second launch

Filed under: Uncategorized — Hopefloats @ 6:54 am
You know I have always threatened to LAUNCH my daughter to the moon. I am going for my Sat. visit later today. Then my sweet grandson will sleep-over I think...or at least I am expecting him too.

Daughter passes me a message from her ex. "Please wear in, her cross necklace for the visit" which means Wear it in mom because you can give it to me before you leave.

I passed back my message "I am not sneaking anything TO daughter, and daughter NEED QUIT ASKING!"

PREPARE FOR 2ND LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
