Let The Universe Help You (Lolly Daskal)
Let the universe help you.
You are not in this world alone.
You never have been, although your belief
may have created that illusion.
Tell the universe what you want.
Tell a friend. Tell (God/dess of your understanding), too. Tell yourself.
Write it down on a list. Be clear and
forthright about what you need and want.
Talk as if you were talking to a friend.
That is not control.
That is learning to own your creative
power--your power to help create your life.
Then let go.
Don't stand tapping our foot, impatiently waiting.
Simply let go, the way you would if you trusted
your friend to respond positively,
in a way that was best for you.
Go naturally about the course of your life.
Listen to your heart. Listen to your inner voice.
What you are guided to do, where you are guided to go,
where your attention is directed, the people you meet,
the phone calls you receive, the experiences you
have--even the problems that arise-these are some ways
the universe can respond to you.
Open your eyes. Look around.
See how the universe responds.
Watch how it dances for you, with you.
You are connected to a magical loving universe,
one that will come alive for you, dance for you,
in ways you cannot imagine-but in ways
you will come to know as true.
Look within, too. Sometimes the most gentle, quiet,
flickering thought-glimmer of an idea, that awareness
of a need or desire, or that small bit of inspiration
or intuition-is how the universe prepares
us for what it wants us to do or receive.
Our inner voice, the one in our heart, is an important
part of the way we're guided and led down our path.
You stand at a gateway now.
It's the door to universal love.

Hi Annie,
What a lovely and thoughtful email. I miss you also. I miss all of my beloved friends at Sober Village.
I am sober and have been since my last thread at Sober Village. I have been in Mexico and Canada on business which has been very trying but I am SOBER!
I have had a hard time getting access to the internet but tonight I am sipping Expresso at an Internet Cafe. Hard to believe huh. lol. Well, I'm in Calgary right now....what a wild place. Heck, I'm thinking these people have a real good excuse to drink just observing them. I forgot about how these Canucks can party (being a native of this country myself). Pretty wild folks out here in the boon docks. I'm starting to say "eh" again so I'll have to break that habit once I return to the USA.
My computer at home has been down for the last month and I have not been home to "fix it" but when I get home next Saturday I am having a guy come in to make repairs. My husband and I have been using the cell phone to talk. We sure miss each other.
Please tell everyone at Sober Village I love them and miss them and that I'm doing great. It means a lot to me that you thought of me and sent me this message. It gives me the continued support I need to stay sober. (Especially here in Canada...wild place) Heck, there are so many great meetings in Canada. I never would have thought it! I have made some great friends at AA meetings here. The meetings don't have a lot of people who attend but who cares...the ones that attend are sober and happy and we pray for those that have yet to find their way.
Love to you Annie and thanks for caring about me. I'll be home next weekend and once my computer is fixed I'll be roaring back on line to all my Sober Village Family. Not Quitting Today....nope, no way.
Love you, Bless you,
Laci
(If you want to, you can copy and paste this message on the Sober Village Site to say Hi to everyone from me.:))

I know some of you are in touch with Peggy separately, but I have permission to post this for those who are not.
She is sounding really, really well. Her physical health is not where she would like it (she still is tired and weak), but she has managed to climb over the fact of not liking it. She is revelling in what she has. It's quite wonderful to hear.
Peggy sends her blessings and warmest thoughts to all at the Village. She is focusing on her 3-D life and she wishes everyone well.
:)
