I am just offering a little non-requested feedback. The new buttons at the bottom left of each post for digg and whatnot are a bit distracting, imo. All the colors together make it a bit more difficult for me to concentrate on the text. And I'm not dyslexic or ADD. Just my two cents, fwiw. :)

My body, mind, heart and soul hurt. Had back surgery 6 weeks ago and recovery is slow, probably because it was my second in 6 months. Biggest problem there is the neuropathy I've got in my legs and feet. I've never felt such pain in my life. Tried Lyrica and it isn't worth a diddly but the hydrocordone does work. Called for a refill on the 18th and my neurosurgeon wants me off it totally this week and I don't think I can do it. I am trying to wait 8-10 hours between taking a pill (500mg), particularly so I can sleep at night. The original script called for 1 every 6 hours. Nothing else helps. My left leg is so weak I can hardly walk and I'm scared to walk outside for fear that I'll fall and no one will be around to help. Life in the country!?! So I walk the length of the house inside. It's a rancher. And I do 40-50 reps of 3 exercises they gave me at discharge. Nothing's helping.

Then the physical pain sent my depression into overdrive a month ago. Sunday, I listened to one of Fifi's cd's and went over the edge because for some reason it drew out a lot of old stuff that I'd kept locked up in my head. Stuff that I thought I'd been thru and eliminated from my life. God, the pain is awful. A total blubbering idiot for the last 3 days. I do need to again listen to the cd's. I'll have to force myself. I obviously still need to purge myself of this old crap that I can't let go of.

I have so much guilt because I am physically unable to do the things I used to and get angry because I can't. Poor hubby. I've been a real pain in the ass to him and he's never complained. Not once, until last night and he gave me hell for feeling sorry for myself and not allowing myself time to heal. And he's the one in pain the majority of the time because of his MS. I just can't cope with doing nothing. Old school. Always doing things, wanting to do stuff and just can't and I hate it.

So the pity party goes on. I hide when I know the tears will start so I don't upset hubby. God I love him and he's my rock.

I'll see the neurosurgeon on Thursday and talk to him about the pain and if there's anything else I can take.

And I have to check out hydrocodone to see if it causes depression or exacerbates it. I was doing fine then felt myself slipping about a month ago and now I'm scared because I think of death and dying. A sure sign that my depression is out of control.
